Exporting your data

CSV and JSON export, trash and restore, and what happens to your data if you leave.

It's your book. Northpoint keeps the exits well-lit: export everything on demand, recover what you delete, and take your data with you if you go.

Exporting

Go to Settings → Data and open the Export tab. Three cards — Contacts, Deals, Tasks — each show a live record count with Download CSV and Download JSON buttons. Contacts export with names, emails, phones, status, and activity dates; deals with type, stage, property info, and close dates; tasks with status, priority, due dates, and their linked people or deals. Files are named by date, so periodic backups sort themselves.

CSV opens anywhere a spreadsheet does; JSON is the better choice when the destination is another system. Each download covers up to 10,000 contacts, 5,000 deals, or 10,000 tasks — generous headroom for a working book. If yours is bigger, get in touch and we'll get you a full export.

Trash and restore

Deleting a person, deal, task, appointment, or company is soft: it moves to the trash (Settings → Data → Trash) and is held for 30 days. From there, Restore brings a record back exactly as it was; Delete permanently and Empty trash do what they say — permanently.

Leaving a workspace behind

Workspace owners have two off-ramps in Settings → Workspace → Management:

  • Archive workspace — hides it from the workspace switcher but preserves all data. Restorable from Settings later.
  • Delete workspace — permanently removes the workspace and everything in it. You'll type DELETE to confirm, and it can't be undone — export first.

If you stop paying

A lapsed subscription never deletes anything. The workspace goes read-only with your data fully visible — including the export buttons above, so you can leave with your book even after billing has ended. Details in Billing and plans.

Deleting your login account

Removing your personal login account entirely isn't self-serve yet — contact us and we'll handle it.
