Invite your team

Owners, agents, assistants, and collaborators — who sees what.

A workspace is built for the way a practice is actually staffed: an owner, co-equal agents, the support staff behind them, and outside partners who touch a file or two. Each of those is a role, and the role decides what someone sees.

Where members live

Open Team in the sidebar (under Practice). The page has four tabs — Members, Teams, Roles & permissions, and Sharing activity. Members is where you add and manage people.

Inviting someone

On the Members tab, hit + Invite (owners only). Enter their email address, pick a role — Agent or Assistant — and hit Send Invite. One thing to know: the person needs a Northpoint account first. Have them sign up at the login page, then invite the same email — they're added to the workspace immediately, no pending state to chase.

You can change someone's role later from the row menu (Change to Agent / Change to Assistant), or take them out with Remove from workspace.

The four roles

  • Owner — manages settings and sees all data. The owner also holds the billing relationship.
  • Agent — sees their own data and anything shared with their teams. Co-equal with other agents.
  • Assistant — the transaction-coordinator role. Sees data for the agents they support, but not the money.
  • Collaborator — an external partner (a TC from another brokerage, an attorney). Sees only the contacts, deals, and teams explicitly shared with them.

Collaborators aren't invited from the Members tab — they come in through sharing. When you share a deal or contact with someone by email, or add them to a team, they join as a collaborator scoped to exactly that. See Teams and entity-level sharing.

Who sees the money

Commissions, deal prices, and expenses are visible to the owner and agents only. Assistants and collaborators work the file without seeing the financials — the Commission tab simply isn't there for them.

Seats and your plan

Only owners and agents count as billable seats. Assistants and collaborators are free, in any number. Your plan sets the agent-seat ceiling — 1 on Solo, up to 5 on Team, up to 15 on Brokerage — so a Team workspace can be two agents plus a whole support bench at no extra cost.
